• Jalapeño is moderately hot and one of the most popular peppers in the world. It is consumed fresh and processed in many different countries.
• Its growing season is limited to the dry season as these peppers are very susceptible to rain. In Ecuador growing season is between May and December.
• This variety is fast grower and high yielder. Yields can reach up to 100 tons per hectare and plants start producing around 70 days after transplant.
