Proaji is a family owned company with a long tradition of producing hot peppers. In 1967 Our family began growing Tabasco peppers for the Mcilhenny Company in Venezuela, in 1977 we moved from Venezuela to Colombia where we continued to grow hot peppers. it was in 1993 that we migrated to Ecuador to expand our pepper business.
Currently we contract over 95% of our pepper needs with over 300 farmers located in various strategic regions of Ecuador and Peru. We provide these farmers with GAP supervision, guidance on integrated Pest Management and guaranteed prices for the crops they produce.
Our main processing center in Ecuador is located in the town of Santo Domingo De Los Colorados, about 150 kilometers West of Quito, while in Peru we have processing stations in the towns of Tarapoto and Piura.
